The Location of the Ark of the Covenant

I said I would make a post about the Ark of the Covenant after finishing my research but as my research seems never ending I am going to have to start releasing my findings bit by bit. Trying to sum it all up is mind blowing!

So, like all good books, I'm going to start with the ending.

The Ark of the Covenant, I believe, is sited in the Kaaba in Mecca and the 'Black Stone', also sited at the Kaaba, may be or may have something to do with the Hebrews' 'Foundation Stone' or 'Eben Shetiyah' as they are both said to be heaven sent and the cornerstone of the world....where the whole world originates from. I believe the Ark was found by Arabs who built the Kaaba, explaining the reason for the construction of the Kaaba prior to Islam, and Islam developed from there. The Kaaba is sited very close to a volcanic mountain called Jabal al Noor, Mountain of Light, which is not only where Mohammad spent a lot of time in a cave (maybe he found the Ark) but also where one man in the nineteenth century thought Mount Sinai was located. I will discuss him and his untimely death soon. The Bible states the Ark was hidden in a cave in Mount Sinai and one verse in Deuteronomy states it will be revealed when the temple opens, which I take as meaning when the volcano erupts, the ark will be seen. This is because the location of the cave was not kept so even the Hebrews didn't know exactly where they'd left it, other than that it was at Mount Sinai. More details to come.

location of the Ark of the Covenant.

Here is a plan of the Kaaba....

You will notice, in the bottom right hand corner, a rectagular space. This is called the Babut Taubah and this is where I believe the Ark of the Covenant is walled off.

These suggestions would certainly explain why the Ark has never been found, because Westerners cannot enter Mecca (we must wonder why the tight security!) and why Islam was started in the first place.

I will go into more detail soon. Please post comments and please duplicate this information as much as you can otherwise this blog will get pulled.

And their Prophet  said to them: Verily! The sign of His Kingdom is that there shall come to you At-Tabut (a wooden box), wherein is Sakinah (peace and reassurance) from your Lord and a remnant of that which Musa and Harun  left behind, carried by the angels. Verily, in this is a sign for you if you are indeed believers. (Koran:248)

  1. I suggest you read Graham Hancock's book "The Sign and the Seal".

  2. Hmmm....not sure. It doesn't have very good reviews. I've just read a long review on it. One interesting thing in the review is this...

'Hancock's identification of the Grail with the Ark clears up a truly puzzling question about Parzival: namely, why the Grail in Wolfram's story is not a cup but a stone. If Hancock is correct, Wolfram's stone is a coded reference to the contents of the Ark, the stone tablets of the Law. In fact, only one scholar, the medievalist Helen Adolf, seems to have linked Wolfram's Grail-stone to the tabot, the slab of wood or stone kept in the Holy of Holies of every Ethiopian church and venerated as a replica of the Ark of the Covenant (or of its contents, the tablets of the Law of Moses).'

I found this statement on the net last night but have yet to find anything else about it...

'the Jewish tradition surrounding the famous rock of The Dome of the Rock. This rock is called the eben shetiyah, or foundation stone, which was in the Most Holy Place and was that on which the ark would have sat had it been there. The rabbinic tradition is that this stone was the covering of the shaft leading down to Sheol. I'm wondering now if the smoke doesn't pour out of some random rent in the earth, but instead out of'

'Random rent in the earth'? My guess is that this random rent was an open lava tube that could be accessed as and when needed. Its exposure caused the 'glory of god' to be seen.....the glow of the lava. The piece of stone was seen as the door between heaven and hell. Access into the abyss.

If you find anything out about the 'rent on the earth' leading down to Sheol under the foundation stone then please let me know.

  3. Shetiyah has a literal translation of "flowing water". The volcanic fluid and the word "eben" or "smooth" could have the dual meaning of a smooth stone formed by flowing liquid. Since lava/magma is molten rock, along with many of that areas volcanic activity being under water, it could be theorized the rock came from the rift fissure and was claimed as a holy relic.I mean we are talking about an extremely superstitious culture and religion that would take something like this and use it to suit their means.

  4. Interesting. But the Kaaba was built during Prophet Abraham (PBUH). It pre-dates the Ark of Covenant. Anyway, I also wonder where the Ark is. Only God Knows Best.

    1. The kaaba has been changed a lot. The order of construction makes no difference.

God was an imaginary volcano deity so I doubt he knows anything.

  5. Dude, the bit in the corner of the black thing in Mecca is a staircase, hence the arrows on the diagram. It leads to the roof and it not walled off :) Otherwise, cool story.

This is a later post I wrote, which talks about the staircase....and the hidden ground floor.

  6. In Wolfram's Parzival the Holy Grail is a relic of the Last Supper but a sacred stone from Heaven.
