MOUNT SINAI
Mount Sinai, the 'mountain of fire' and 'mountain of god' mentioned in the Bible as depicted by cartoonists and artists who mostly seem blissfully unaware of what the numerous Bibilical verses have led them to recreate.

Exodus 34:29 And it came to pass, when Moses came down from mount Sinai with the two tables of testimony in Moses' hand, when he came down from the mount, that Moses wist not that the skin of his face shone while he talked with him.

Exodus 32:11 Then Moses pleaded with the Lord his God, and said: “Lord, why does Your wrath burn hot against Your people whom You have brought out of the land of Egypt with great power and with a mighty hand? 12 Why should the Egyptians speak, and say, ‘He brought them out to harm them, to kill them in the mountains, and to consume them from the face of the earth’? Turn from Your fierce wrath, and relent from this harm to Your people.

Exodus 20:18 Now all the people witnessed the thunderings, the lightning flashes, the sound of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking; and when the people saw it, they trembled and stood afar off.
MOUNT SINAI
Exodus 19:12 You shall set bounds for the people all around, saying, ‘Take heed to yourselves that you do not go up to the mountain or touch its base. Whoever touches the mountain shall surely be put to death. 13 Not a hand shall touch him, but he shall surely be stoned or shot with an arrow; whether man or beast, he shall not live.’ When the trumpet sounds long, they shall come near the mountain.”
MOUNT SINAI
Exodus 19:16 Then it came to pass on the third day, in the morning, that there were thunderings and lightnings, and a thick cloud on the mountain; and the sound of the trumpet was very loud, so that all the people who were in the camp trembled. 17 The sight of the glory of the Lord was like a consuming fire on the top of the mountain in the eyes of the children of Israel. 18 So Moses went into the midst of the cloud and went up into the mountain.

Exodus 19:17 And Moses brought the people out of the camp to meet with God, and they stood at the foot of the mountain. 18 Now Mount Sinai was completely in smoke, because the Lord descended upon it in fire. Its smoke ascended like the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mountain[a] quaked greatly.
Now contrast the Biblical verses above that led the artists to create the volcanic imagery with the Open Bible's list of verses. Nothing volcanic whatsoever. That is what you call religiously ordained deception.
Now please see this list of Biblical verses that suggest the god of the ancient Hebrews, and therefore the Abrahamic religions, was nothing other than anthropomorphised volcanic activity.
Please let me know if you know of any other images of Mount Sinai that reveal its volcanic characteristics.
Please leave a comment here to let me know what you think to this post.
There's one problem with this thought process. If it was a volcano, wouldn't it have wiped out the entire camp? Have you researched what happens when a volcano erupts? Also, Moses went up to the mountain into the thick dark cloud and came down, not only that but he brought up 70 of the elders with him, and they SAW the God of Israel and even ate before Him. Somethings not adding up here lol. You cant just believe the books testimony on the fire and smoke but not believe the testimony of Moses going up and coming down.
ReplyDeleteYo Christy,
DeleteMoses had studied Volcano worship with his father-in-law Jetro for 40 years. He knew all about volcanos & when it was OK to go near & when it wasn't.
www.contradictionsinthebible.com is a serious investigation into the Jewish bible. He might not say anything about volcanos, but he does show who wrote Torah & he does point out that the bible is riddled with contradictions.
Do you think I would create a blog and make over 150 posts without having considered such small issues?
ReplyDeleteThere are different types of volcanoes and in Saudi, which was a mecca for volcano worship, the volcanoes tend to be oil based and therefore do not produce ash. The camp would have to have dealt with 'his rivers of fire', brimstone, smoke, lightning, earthquakes (outstretched arm) and noise....like a 'trumpet blast'.
Remember that these people did not see volcanoes as dangerous inconveniences. These were red lights for 'God in residence'. They wouldn't up and leave when their god was around. They would just be awestruck and hopeful their god was not going to execute them for their misdeeds.
So, your questions, 'Have I researched what happens when a volcano erupts', which was obviously a bit sarcastic, can be answered with a 'Yes, and more'. I've also researched how people perceived volcanoes.
Moses might not even have existed. If someone did walk up a volcano and claimed to have see their god face to face then that would not be unusual amongst volcano god devotees and certainly not amongst the 'priesthood' who were probably in those days high on something. Don't assume a priest then was the same as a priest now, the priests then responsibly for administering some 'divine' punishments. Not very holy.
They saw their god and they ate with him and told someone about it who added that they did a little dance and then someone else wrote about it and added that they did a little dance and drank wine and got merry with a handful of virgins.
Come on. Try to decipher truth from fiction. It is possible. It just takes a good insight into the volcano god mindset and discernment.
Yo Bro,
DeleteFantastic! You are thinking outside the box!
Do you want to know what kind of sacrifices Aaron offered on Mount Sinai? HUMAN SACRIFICES. The REAL god of the Jes is MOLOCH!
HUMAN SACRIFICE IN JUDAISM
Moses aka Jews PLAGIARIZED the 10 Commandments from the 42 Principles of Maat, the Egyptian goddess of Truth. Aaron offered Human Sacrifices to Moloch aka The Golden Calf, on Mount Sinai (Exodus 32). 3000 Israelites were put to the sword for this (Exodus 32:22-27). YHWH was the first Anti-Semite (Exodus 32:7-10). See 1 Kings 11:1-13; Amos 5:25-27; Acts 7:42-43. In the Babylonian Jewish Talmud, Sanhedrin 64 a-b, you will find instructions for Jews on how to offer Human Sacrifices to Moloch, without being guilty. The trick is to get someone else to do the
HOLOCAUST:
MISHNAH. HE WHO GIVES OF HIS SEED TO MOLECH INCURS NO PUNISHMENT UNLESS HE DELIVERS IT TO MOLECH AND CAUSES IT TO PASS THROUGH THE FIRE. IF HE GAVE IT TO MOLECH BUT DID NOT CAUSE IT TO PASS THROUGH THE FIRE, OR THE REVERSE, HE INCURS NO PENALTY, UNLESS HE DOES BOTH.
Babylonian Talmud, Tractate Sanhedrin 64a
Soncino 1961 Edition, page 437
Following the Mishnah is a discussion among the sages. One of the Talmud Sages, Rabbi Ashi, comments as follows:
GEMARA. R. Ashi propounded: What if one caused his blind or sleeping son to pass through, (3) or if he caused his grandson by his son or daughter to pass through? — One at least of these you may solve. For it has been taught: [Any men ... that giveth any of his seed unto Molech; he shall he put to death ... And I will set my face against that man, and will cut him off from among his people;] because he hath given of his seed unto Molech. Why is this stated? — Because it is said, there shall not be found among you any one
that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire. From this I know it only of his son or daughter. Whence do I know that it applies to his son's son or daughter's son too? From the verse, [And if the people of the land do any ways hide their eyes from the man] when he giveth of his seed unto Molech [and kill him not: Then I will ... cut him off.]
— Babylonian Talmud, Tractate Sanhedrin 64b
Soncino 1961 Edition, page 439
Rabbi Dr. Freedman, one of the translators of the Soncino Tractate Sanhedrin, clarifies the passage. In a footnote, Rabbi Dr. Freedman confirms that the Talmud Sages use "seed" to denote living children, in the same sense as the Biblical translators understand the term in the above Biblical quotes. In this footnote, Rabbi Dr. Freedman paraphrases the question from Rabbi Ashi:
3. Is 'thou shalt not cause to pass' applicable only to a son who can naturally pass through himself, but not to a blind or sleeping son, who must be led or carried, or does it apply to all?
Rabbi Dr. Freedman
Other footnotes within the same context clarify the fine point of distinction being drawn in the Mishnah and subsequent debates among the sages:
5. Lev. XVIII, 21. This proves that the offence consists of two parts; (I) formal delivery to the priests, and (2) causing the seed to pass through the fire.
Rabbi Dr. Freedman (2)
5. As two separate offences, proving that giving one's seed to Molech is not idolatry. The differences [sic] is, that if one sacrificed to Molech, or caused his son to pass through the fire to some other deity, he is not punished.
Rabbi Dr. Freedman (3)
Following the Mishnah, Sanhedrin 64a and 64b contain a rousing debate between the Sages concerning:
* the circumstances under which worshipping an idol is idolatry,
* which idols may be worshipped without indulging in idolatry,
* which parts of child sacrifice in what combination are punishable, and
* how children may be sacrificed without violating Leviticus.
Going back to Exodus 18, we find Moses' father-in-law, the PAGAN priest of Midan, teaching him "the ropes" on how to run a religion. Jethro was a worshipper of VOLCANOS. Now read Exodus & see how a VOLCANO was used to scare the Israelites into believing GOD was speaking to them.
